U16 managers. U16 RESULT CARDS from Sunday 28th April until the end of the season are to be sent to Tracy Hudson

Can I remind you to remind your managers of the following rule. 10[Q] Home teams whose grounds are unplayable for any reason MUST accept any invitation from the published Away team, whose ground is playable and available to travel to and play at their opponents venue, if the game can commence within a 90 minute period of the published kick off time provided that the confirmed revised kick off time is no later than 2.00 p.m. [Any return fixture will be reversed] The match official[s] must be informed immediately of any change of venue, Failure to accept such an invitation from the published away team would result in a fine, loss of points or other measures at the discretion of the Management Committee for the originally published Home team. Even if you have already played at your opposition’s venue the fixture will still need to be reversed. Do not leave it until the last minute to inspect your pitches.

MANAGERS. With the rain we have had already this week and moreto come. Please check your pitches Saturday or 1st thing Sunday morning. Before you do anything else speak with your opposition manager, the weather in all areas is different, and also some grounds have better drainage than others, so it may be possible to reverse the fixture as in accordance with the rule book. If you have numerous games allocated to any one given pitch, but the pitch will not take all games, please give priority to County Cup Games, and League issued League and Challenge Cup Games. it is easier to re-schedule a League game than a cup game. Thank you for your co-operation.

Match Based Suspensions We have had a few challenges recently with the games that have been allocated to suspensions. If a player is dismissed the suspension will always commence on the 21st day after the offence. If the club has a fixture on the 21st day then that becomes the first match to be missed. If the club does not have a fixture on that date then it carries to the next week until the correct number of games are served. A few clubs have provided details of a game which is the week after the suspension commence date (i.e. the 28th day), even though there is a fixture on the 21st day. This means the player is effectively playing whilst under suspensions and the club and player will receive a charge. If you are not sure please contact the Herts FA.

Please PASS onto your managers, on your result cards it asks you to indicate if your opposition were issued with any YELLOW or RED cards, please do not leave this blank or put down N/A as the rule book states all sections are to be completed. If NONE were issued put down 0 or ZERO. If Yellow & Red Cards were issued please indicate how many 1 2 3 etc DO NOT JUST PUT DOWN YES.

Please take note and make sure you pass this information onto your managers. At the AGM is was passed that 3G artificial surfaces would be allowed in this league, however clubs that wished to use them had to apply for sanction from the league, once it had been sanctioned for that club opposition’s cannot refuse to play on it. The following clubs have applied to use a 3G surface Berkhamsted Raiders. Brady Maccabi London Maccabi Lions and St Albans City this has been sanctioned by the league, so as far as these clubs go you cannot decline to play on it and if you do the game will be treated as a non fulfilment of fixture, loss of the game and a fine. Please note footwear allowed. PERMITTED: PLASTIC BLADES / MOULDED PIMPLE TRAINERS. NO METAL STUDS OR BLADES NO MUDDY BOOTS. With other clubs where it has not been sanctioned it can be offered and it is down to you whether or not you accept the offer.

Check all Registration with the exception of those sent in the last few days have been returned, if you have sent them and not had them returned check with me to make sure I have received it. REMEMBER players with out a valid 2012-2013 season ID Card cannot play, and opposing managers should not let them play, if in doubt contact me before the game do not let players play and then complain to me afterwards, it’s to late.

Make sure your managers know who their fixture secretary is, this is the person they need to phone in their result too, or their postponement, again make sure they know who their result card administrator is and that cards have to be sent into them, Sunday games cards to be received no later than Wednesday, if you have mid-week games send these cards in straight away so games played Tuesday card in by Friday, game played Wednesday card in by Saturday do not leave mid-week cards to be sent in with your next Sunday card as they will be late.

Home side are to confirm fixtures with their opposition and referee if appointed by 9pm on the Tuesday at the latest, if messages are left make sure you ask for them to be acknowledged that they have been received. Away sides if the home team has not confirmed the game by 9pm on the Tuesday can I ask that you contact them to get the fixture confirmed and if you have to do this to let me know.

There have been numerous changes to managers and managers phone numbers and we have some additional referee’s since the handbook went to press, please cross reference contact details with the wfl website, www.wfl.me.uk they will need to go down to league club area on the left hand side and log in to be able to access the club and referee directory, this is where all amendments are posted , if the details on the league website for managers are wrong you will need to contact the club secretary because it means they have not updated it and I only have what is there.

Home Teams when the weather is bad, please check your pitches Saturday afternoon / early Sunday morning to stop away teams travelling for no reason.

Season Starts

U9 – U18 Sunday 9th September 2012.
U7 & U8’s Sunday 23rd September 2012.

Only players with a valid 2012-2013 season registration ID Card are permitted to play.

15 players = they show you 15 ID Cards, if they only have 14 players with ID Cards then only these players play.
The player without an ID Card no matter what the excuse does not play. There is no exception to this rule.

The rule about signing a piece of paper only applies if the opposition manager for some strange reason forgets his TEAMS ID Cards, then all the players present need to print their Name and DOB and sign alongside it.

This then needs to be sent to the registration secretary Tracy Hudson. Failure to have and show your ID Cards at a game carries a minimum £25

League Officers carry out ID card spot checks

Officers will be out and about during the season. Please exchange your ID Cards and do a card check, it will take 5 minutes. If officers are at games where card checks are not carried out, the teams will be fined a minimum £25 and other disciplinary measures may be taken against them.
